link to help with public transport directions.

From Airport by car
Leave the Airport taking the A8 for Edinburgh, you will go for 2 miles until the Gogar roundabout. You need to get onto the A720 city bypass so look for the signs saying Edinburgh South & East. Stay on this road for about 6 miles and look out for the junction sign called Straiton. Take the Straiton junction and at the end of the slip road turn first left onto the A701 with signs for Edinburgh City Centre (South). Stay on this (A701) road for about 3 to 4 miles. You will go straight on through 2 main traffic lights controlled junctions signposts that will have Liberton listed. After the second of these junctions we are about half a mile further down on the left-hand side of the main road situated just after a right-hand curve in the road. We have a white signage display showing Brae Lodge Guest House name by the roadside. Free parking is off road in front of the house.

From Waverly Train Station
When you leave Edinburgh Waverly Station please use the Princes Street stairs exit. Turn right until the corner of the road (passed the Balmoral Hotel). Cross over to North Bridge Road and walk up that road going away from Princes Street. Continue until the third bus stop and from there take either bus service number 37 or 7. The price is 1.50 exact fare each person. Either of these buses will take you here and there is no need to change buses. Now see the text opposite for local bus directions

From Airport using Airlink bus service
Go to the Airport terminal forecourt, outside the main entrance look for the Airlink bus stand and the bus number 100. This is a direct bus service all the way to the centre of Edinburgh. There are request stops along this route so you can ask the driver for the nearest bus stop to Marks & Spencers in princes Street. From there you can connect to the number 37 bus to us. Now see the text opposite for further local bus directions

If you should miss that stop and arrive at the last Airlink bus stop on Waverley Bridge by the train station. Then from there walk up towards Princes Street. Now at the traffic lights at the top of that road, cross over to the opposite side of Princes Street and then turning to your right continue along until the department store called Marks & Spencer. At that store is the bus stop for the number 37. Now see the text opposite for further local bus directions

From Airport using Edinburgh Tram service
The Tram station is situated on Jubilee Road within the airport area and it is the number 50 tram. Take this tram to the Princes Street stop. Then cross over to the shop side of Princes Street, turn right and continue along Princes Street until you come to the department store called Marks & Spencer. At that store is the bus stop for the number 37. Now see the text opposite for further local bus directions

We are located on the A701 road
approximately 2 miles from the city centre.

We have free private parking for our guests for up to 5 vehicles.

Our map location

Directions for local buses from the city centre

The Lothian Regional Transport (LRT) buses number 37 or 7 from Edinburgh city centre comes to within a 100 metres of us. The journey should take no more than 15 minutes and costs 1.50 per adult, exact fare only, to the driver (you may consider buying an all day tickect 4.00 which lets you take multiple journeys all day).

From Princes Street, you will travel along the North Bridge road, traveling away from the centre and continue through Newington Road, Minto Street and Craigmillar Park. The bus then turns right onto Liberton Road. Once on Liberton Road there are 3 further bus stops. After the third bus stop there is a traffic lights junction and across this junction is Liberton Brae road, this is where we are. You should now request to get off at the next bus stop which is called Liberton Tower Mains. (If in doubt ask the driver for the FIRST bus stop AFTER Liberton Road). We are about 100metres on the opposite side of the road from this bus stop.
